Chess Champ looking for sponsors.

The shy Nazmi sharing a joke with his mother.

After qualifying for the National Paralympic Chess team that is representing Malaysia at the 8th Asean Para Games in Singapore from 3 to 9 December 2015, the family of Ahmad Nazmi is trying to raise funds to make this trip.

Nazmi (with back to the camera) facing Dallas Yap. The game was
so exciting that some of the juniors were glued to the table till the end.

During the 2nd Cheras Juniors Age Group 2015 chess tournament over the weekend, generous donations were received from friends and fellow chess players. But they are still a long way off from the target of around RM11,650.

For those who like to make a donation to Ahmad Nazmi, please contact his chess trainer Collin Madhavan by email at geodat@yahoo.com or message him at 016-2123578.
Whatever donation that comes in would be of great help. On behalf of Ahmad Nazmi and his family, thank you.

Nazmi and his loving parents.

N.B.: Ahmad Nazmi suffers from a genetic disorder known as Type II Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Spinal muscular atrophy manifests in various degrees of severity, which include progressive muscle wasting and mobility impairment. At age seven, Nazmi lost his ability to walk and has since been in a wheelchair. He lost his elder sister to this same disorder a few years ago.

Halloween & Chess!!!

Can you just imagine if you had to teach a Skeleton, twin Grim Reapers,
Ghosts, satan, a witch, a scarecrow and 2 Batmans in Chess class? Well that's
exactly what happened in chess class on the eve of Halloween.

I had a tough time trying to teach and stop shaking all over with this 'Skeleton'! Ha

Well there was a group photo!
