News & photos

Nazmi qualifies for Malaysian
Paralympic Chess Team

Congratulations Ahmad Nazmi for qualifying to represent Malaysia
at this year's 8th Asean Para Games in Singapore.

My first meeting with Ahmad Nazmi three years where we played a friendly game during
one of his break periods. I was impressed by his play. Since then, I am even more
impressed with his hunger for Chess and his energy to work hard at improving in the game.
Apart from being a talented chess player, Nazmi is a very humble boy.
I couldn't have asked for a better student.

Congratulations to the Academy's latest student, Aqilah Syahira Ahmad.
She too has qualified to represent Malaysia at the 8th Asean Para Games
in Singapore. Congratulations Aqilah. Keep it up!

Just like former world chess champion Bobby Fischer, Ian seems to be camera-shy
and shows that he's upset with me taking photos of him while in deep thought! Ha

Well done Ian.
