10th Kids for Chess Camp

The 10th Kids for Chess Camp was held on the 12th and 13th of December 2011 
at the Pandan Lake Club, Kuala Lumpur.

Simultaneous Chess Match 
in Malacca 10 December 2011

       A simultaneous Chess match was organised at the Malacca International Trade Centre (MITC), Malacca, on the 10th of December 2011. Collin Madhavan, the National record holder for 'Most opponents in consecutive chess games', played a total of 67 games at the main hall of MITC. The exhibition match lasted for three and a half hours and the final score was 65 to 2 in favour of the chess master. 

           Below is a game from the simultaneous Chess match which was played against an under-18 MSSM player from Kelantan.

7th ASIAN SCHOOLS CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP
(New Delhi, India)

          Yap Wan Lin, Melanie Koo and Lye Lik Zang will be playing at the 7th Asian Schools Chess Championships in New Delhi India from the  16th to the 23rd of December 2011. They will compete in the under-15 Open,  under-11 Girls and under-7 Open categories. A total of 567 players have been registered for the age-group tournament which will be played over 9 rounds. 

  

                

Chess sessions in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur

Day & Time: Sunday from 3 to 5 pm.

Levels:  All levels from beginner to tournament player.

Age: Children from 5 years of age to adults.

Who should join: Anyone who is interested to play Chess either for fun or to become a 
                         strong player. For your information, we have been running classes in Cheras 
                         for more than 4 years.
